Arecent survey by researchers has concluded that affectionate gestures likehugging and kissing seem to be more important to men than women.
To add to that, the study also stated that for women, sex gotbetter with time. Around 100 couples, who were in a relationship between 1 to 51years, from five different countries (US, Germany, Spain, Japan and Brazil) weresurveyed.

The men reported that by frequent kissing andcuddling, they seemed to be three times as happy on an average to those who werenot much snuggled by their wives or girlfriends. Likewise, women confessed thatsuch acts of affection hardly helped increase their happiness quotient. When menwere asked, they were likely to say that they were happy with theirrelationship, while women stated being satisfied with sex.
When askedif the same is true, clinical psychologist Mansi Hassan said, “Idon’t think this is gender specific. In a relationship, unlike in a casualfling, if the man is more emotionally dependent, his need will vary from that ofa self centred man. Emotional gestures always bring about a reassurance. Thebest way to express love is by cuddling and kissing as it brings about stabilityand security in a relationship. Men are biologically meant to nurturerelationships, when that happens they feel satisfied.”
Psychologist Neha Patel says that some of her cases dealwith women complaining that their man doesn’t have more sex. “It ismore because physical and emotional needs are changing. Men know that theirright to dominate is not much, considering how women have changed in this era. Most men are emotional but are unable to express it. Women have become more opento the idea of sex while men have become more sensitive and thus, they are nowmore open to express affection.”
